After wearing a brace on my foot for most of a week, I started feeling "weekness" all over in my legs, especially knees and I started wondering if the brace was hurting more than helping. With the marathon slipping away along with my fitness level, I decided to run/walk on the treadmill this morning so that I could keep the option open to stop at any time. I went from a slow walk to a fast walk and then to a jog before it started hurting. Eventually got up to 6mph and maintained that speed for most of the four miles. Stretched before and after and felt good about the results. Barring any flare ups today, I may repeat the workout tomorrow. |
