Slightly better than Tuesday with regular shoes.  (Perhaps they don't make that much difference.)  4.65 miles in 37:57 for an average pace of 8:10/mile.  The weather was still great at 50 degrees.

10.19 miles in 8:34 per mile.  I decided to take it a little easier today.  I still got the first 7 miles done in an hour with 20 seconds to spare, but I didn't quite keep the pace for the last three miles.

Happy daylight savings time!  This was my first Monday run in a while, but it was just a run and I felt good afterwards:  4.64 miles in 39:58 for an average pace of 8:37.  I was bundled up with long sleeves and gloves because it was 40 degrees outside.

I went home last night more excited than I remember ever being at Christmas, but by the time I went to bed, I was not very happy.  Got up this morning to cool down.  43 degrees and short sleeves did the job pretty well.  Ran 5.53 miles in 46:45 for an average pace of 8:27/mile.

Same old route with no GPS in about 40 minutes.  It was starting to rain, but still 55 degrees.  It's supposed be snowing by the end of the day.

4.18 miles in 35:44 for an average pace of 8:33/mile.  The streets were mostly dry except for an occasional clump of snow.  The skies were clear and the air was a crisp 22 degrees.  I'm thankful that I ran, even though it was hard to push myself out into the freezing weather.

7.29 miles in 1:01:08 for an average pace of 8:23/mile.  Miles 4 and 8 were the fastest, but I gradually slowed down between mile 4 and 8.  So, I probably could have done better at the end.  It warmed up 10 degrees (to 32) since Monday and I wore my flat shoes.  Both factors helped my speed.  My weight was not in my favor as I have gained 10 pounds since last summer.

Ran without a GPS, but it was my 10.2 mile route and it took 91 minutes based on the house clock.  That's almost 9 minutes per mile.  A light rain the whole time, but I was a little too warm with long sleeves and gloves.  (Temperature was 47 degrees).

Happy Thanksgiving!  I'm thankful for the dry, moderate weather this morning and for good health and for family and food.  I like the feeling I get after a good run.  Today's run, as always, ended going uphill for the last mile.  (If I don't take that particular route, I don't get a temperature reading, which was 39 today.)  I had a pretty strong head wind during the last mile that slowed me down to an 8:45 pace.  Overall, I ran 7.31 miles in 1:02:43 for an average pace of 8:33/mile.  The first 7 miles took 59:58.  So,I'll call that 7mph.

Had some knee issues after Thursday's run.  Did some physical therapy on Friday and I decided to risk another run today.  So far, so good and I'm glad I ran.  10.18 miles took 1:27:45, for an average pace of 8:37/mile.  First 7 miles took one hour and 2 minutes.  Maximum speed was 5:55 in mile 2.  Not sure if I've ever had that fast of a pace.

I went ice skating with my family on Saturday and took a fall that really hurt my thigh.  It has been hurting ever since and slowed me down this morning.  I ran 4.64 miles in 42:08 with an average pace of 9:05/mile.  That's my slowest pace in a long time.

5.64 miles in 50:35 for an average pace of 8:58/mile.  My pace has slackened by about 30 seconds per mile and I'm not sure how to explain it.  Nothing to do except keep running and hope things get better soon.  My legs are nearly always sore and so I don't want to push things too much.

Wrapped up the month with a short run without a GPS, but cell phone said it took about 40 minutes, which is a little above average for that run (about 8:40/mile).  I got a little too hot in my long sleeves and gloves.  It's no wonder because the temperature indicated 54 degrees this morning.
