| | I ran two miles in about 18 minutes this morning to see how I would do. It turns out my back hurt more than my foot. I may be on my way "back". | Comments(1) |
| | Trying to be careful until I can build up my mileage again. Just ran 4.66 miles in 38:28 (8:15 per mile) All body parts seemed to be in good working order. I hate to let all this great running weather get past me. It may have been a little cool at 45 degrees for short sleeves and shorts, but very tolerable. It's just going to get warmer from here (I think). | Add Comment |
| | 4.62 miles in 38:13 or 8:16 per mile. First four miles were faster than Saturday, but the last stub was quite a bit slower. I ran hard enough to feel it in my legs and was not able to maintain the intensity at the end. | Add Comment |
| | Same route, slower speed. Not sure why, but my calves were bothering me most of the run and now I'm walking around like I ran a marathon. I know I took a lot of time off, but I didn't think I was ramping back up too fast. Hopefully, it will feel better as the day progresses. Ran 4.64 miles in 39:20 for an average pace of 8:29/mi. | Comments(1) |
| | 5.64 miles at average pace of 8:20/mile. First mile and a half were quite slow than I had three back to back miles under 8 minutes. Nice weather at 43 degrees. | Comments(1) |
| | I felt the same old pain in my foot again and decided to cut my run way short. Average pace was 9:58/mile. | Comments(1) |
| | 5.64 miles in53:01 for an average pace of 9:24/mi. First mile was 10:39 and last fraction was 8:44. I was able to increase the pace each mile, mainly because I wasn't sure what I could do and I took it easy at first. Had some foot pain, but nothing too bad. I've taken a long break from running, partly to heal and partly to prepare for a long bike ride to St. George with the boys (about 320 miles in 3 days). Did 3 26 mile rides in the past week and planning my first 50 mile ride tomorrow. It's all I can do to keep up with everyone else, but so far they haven't complained about my slowness.
