Ran first marathon after 18 months of training (minus injury time) at age 52 in Logan, Utah on Sept 18, 2010.  Time was 4:16:56 compared to a goal of 4:15.

Second marathon was Oct 1, 2011 in the heat of St George.  Time fell to 4:52:27.

Short-Term Running Goals:

With two marathons behind me, my next goal is to run one in under 4 hours and potentially qualify for Boston within 2 years.

My primary physical goal is to live a long, healthy life and to stay active to the end.  While I can, I expect running to be a big part of that.

Total Distance
17.40

17.4 miles in 2:41 is an estimate based on forgetting to restart my GPS  That comes out to about 9:15 per mile.  Out of the measured miles, I got 16.04 miles in 2:25:59 for an average pace of 9:06/mile.  I'd say is was a pretty good run up to Vivian park and back.  But my feet didn't think so.  My flat shows give me less support, and I injured my left foot.  Hopefully, it won't have long term effects.

Ouch, got to go easy in the flats, it takes a long time. Good run though, yours was faster than mine by a long shot.

That may have been my last run for a while. There is no way I can run now. It may be a stress fracture. It is a mixed blessing. I needed something to stop me because of all the other things going on in my family.
