It was a tough run today. (13.48 miles in 2:01:42) I still feel weak, two hours later. I didn't keep accurate records in the past, but this was the same route as what I think was my longest run. Splits derived from Garmin were 9:33, 8:57, 8:52, 8:45, 8:55, 8:47, 8:35, 8:58, 8:26, 8:51, 9:38, 10:30, 8:34, 9:04 (partial) I'm not a very good pacer, especially when the run ends with a steep ascent followed by an even steeper descent. I had to slow down on the descent to save my knees. I really can't imagine doing that run twice in a row to complete a marathon. I took a gatorade drink with me for the first time. But after I opened it, it sloshed all over me. I need a better solution than that for long runs.
