Sluggish run this morning, but at least I did it.  55:53 was overall time for a 10:02 average pace.  Dressed a little too warm for 41 degrees with long sweats, gloves, and ski mask as I sweated off 3 pounds.

I awoke without an alarm at 4:40 even after the switch to day-light savings time, so that pleased me.  I hate losing an hour, but I think I'm officially on the new schedule now.

Planned to run 6.5 in the rain.  But I forgot the route distance and there was no rain.  It was a cool, cloudy 36 degrees.  Shorts, long sleeves, and gloves was about the right warmth, but my fingers were still frozen at the end.  Saw five deer that just stared at me as I ran by.  I stared right back.  On Monday, I saw a pack of about 10.

Started feeling a little foot pain at the end.  I'll need to be careful not to overdo it.  I'm leaning away from running UVM now.  End of summer will be much more successful for me.  It's too little too late on the training and I don't think my body can do a fast ramp up.

Hill training route.  Looked at my pace during steepest part and it registered 15.35 per mile and I was working hard.  I wonder if the GPS tracks vertical as well as horizontal distance.   If not then even downhill is going to register slower than actual rate.  Considering that it registers elevation, the vertical factor must be considered.

Whatever the case, the run took 50:54 or 10:03 per mile.
