Gearing up to run my first marathon on Sep 18.  (Top of Utah, in Logan)

Since my hip injury in January, I;ve had a slow recovery.  But, I've been able to progress quite a bit in the last 2 months.  After the 12.6 miles this morning, I felt a little pain.  It's probably time for an easy week next week.

I was pretty pleased with my efforts this morning.  The goal was to run each mile faster.  This worked well until mile 11 which was uphill for the whole stretch.  At one point, I noticed that my pace was 11:45.  Mile 9 was the fastest at 8:12.  Average pace was 8:47.

I feel like I'm getting close to January conditioning, but still not ready for the big race.  My longest run is still 14 miles.  That should change within the next month.  I've got to get it up to 20 a couple of times before September.
