Second marathon was Oct 1, 2011 in the heat of St George.  Time fell to 4:52:27.

Short-Term Running Goals:

With two marathons behind me, my next goal is to run one in under 4 hours and potentially qualify for Boston within 2 years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

My primary physical goal is to live a long, healthy life and to stay active to the end.  While I can, I expect running to be a big part of that.

This was an easy run, to see if I could run.  I can, but not very fast.  It took me 27:17 for 2.59 miles and it wasn't low heart rate (147bpm).  On Monday, my oxygen level was at 91, where below 90 is considered a problem and 98 would be ideal.  Yesterday, it came up to 93, but still not where it ought to be.

My marathon goal has been 4 hours, but I might need to be satisfied with 5 hours tomorrow.

This is the sinus infection that won't go away, but none of the three doctors told me not to run the marathon, so I'm going to do it.

If you have been on an antibiotic for your sinus infection you might feel a lot better tomorrow. I am sorry and sad for me I can't be there.

Take lots of vitamins, rest up, and drink a much water as you possibly can. Great hydration today will help you tomorrow, especially with the heat. Also, you need lots of water to clear out that sinus infection. Good luck!!!
